Q. How do I pay and register for a YoungBlue workshop?
A. Head to www.youngblue.net.au and hover over the ‘Workshops’ menu heading. The link to ‘Registrations’ will appear in a drop down menu. Select the town you are in and follow the easy steps!

Q. How old does my child have to be to be involved?
A. Anyone under the age of 18 can be involved in the programs!

Q. Will I receive a ticket in the mail?
A. No, you will receive your YoungBlue ticket at the workshop.

Q. Do I need music for the workshop?
A. Yes, you will need the music, please head to Registrations to register for the workshop in your town. You will recieve instructions on which music you will need and where to download it!

Q. What music do I need to learn to perform onstage with DeepBlue during the show? Is it different to the workshop music?
A.  No, the piece for onstage performance is the same as the workshop piece.

Q. Do I need to memorise the music?
A. Yes please! We would prefer that you learn your music from memory to perform onstage,  there is an audio file of the piece under ‘Resources’ in the ‘Workshop’ menu at www.youngblue.net.au so you can listen and practise along at home.

Q. What do I wear onstage to perform with deepblue?
A. Please wear black pants/skirt/jeans and a white T-shirt with our logo on the front. You will need to provide your own white T-shirt and an iron-on transfer of our logo will be sent to you prior to the day. It does not matter what type of white shirt you wear… So long as it’s white! Please also feel free to funk up your outfit with accessories, shoes and jewelry!

Q. Are there discounted tickets for the DeepBlue show for family members of YoungBlue participants?
A. Yes there are! This information will be sent to you once you have booked and paid for your YoungBlue ticket!

Q. What if I can’t get an iron on transfer in time?
A. Never fear! We will always have spare iron on transfers, iron and ironing board available at the venue! If this does not fit into your schedule please don’t hesitate to contact one of our friendly YoungBlue team to organise one posted to your home.

Q. Does my child need to be playing at a minimum level to participate?
A. No! All of our YoungBlue music is designed to suit most abilities. We have a levelled violin section so you can choose which part suits your ability – it is an inspiring and accessible workshop meant for all ages and abilities. As long as you’re comfortable playing your part then we encourage you to join in. If you’re not sure look over the parts with your music teacher and see if they can adapt or help you with your music.

Q. How much does it cost?
A. A place in the YoungBlue workshop program costs $30 and this includes the workshop fee, performance, resources and youngblue online access, plus a free ticket to the DeepBlue show.

Q. What is the schedule for the day?
A. Each town will be slightly different due to different show times, click here to see our example timetable, or click on your town on the registrations page to find out the specifics for your town.

Q. My Plans have changed and I can’t make it to the youngblue workshop, can I have a refund?
We understand that circumstances do change so we offer a full refund up to 2 weeks out of the event. If you need to cancel within the two weeks we can’t offer you your money back but we we will send you a DVD, the iron on transfer and you will have access to all the YoungBlue resources!

Q. My child doesn’t play a string instrument, Can they be involved?
A. Certainly. We are happy for drummers, keyboardists, guitarists and other musicians to be involved!

Q. Can I take photos and videos?
A. Of course. Just make sure you upload them to the YoungBlue Website Gallery or Facebook – and don’t forget to tag us!
