Young musicians spend hours in practice, parents spend hours motivating them and the budding musician isn’t often given the chance to show off their new skills.
DeepBlue have designed the YoungBlue programs with this in mind. We have a dream to offer children around the country an opportunity to come and play with us, learn how to perform and be part of the future of music today.
YoungBlue is huge part of the DeepBlue community engagement strategies. In 2008 it started out as a dream to provide local young musicians in rural towns an opportunity to perform on stage with a professional orchestra. The project was so successful in its approach and the demand so huge that we now offer week long holiday programs, tailored schools shows across Australia as well as seeing continuing and growing numbers of YoungBlues in our DeepBlue shows.
All of us here at DeepBlue were once beginners and most of us now teach and perform, we know what its like to have a dream this big and we hope to inspire and open doors for your budding musicians to find their feet in the 21st century music industry.
We welcome and encourage all string players, electronic musicians and even children who have shown an interest in playing but are not too sure. We guarantee they will be inspired and motivated.
