07/12/2016 – YoungBlue SummerSchool Jan 2017 Postponed
This year Deepblue had not one but three babies! Due to our recent expansion of mama’s we are not able to run the SummerSchool in January this year but we are hoping to offer something during the winter holidays. 23/03/2016 – YoungBlue Workshop at the Sunshine Coast! DeepBlue are excited to be playing at the beautiful Kings Beach Amphitheatre on Saturday April 2nd at 7:00pm. We will be running our one of kind YoungBlue workshop for young local musos to join us on stage for a party number! Find out more!

04/11/2015 – YoungBlue SummerSchool 2016
We’ve had a lot of enquiries about our YoungBlue program in Jan 2016 and we apologise for the late details on our program! Its been a challenge securing a location for the program as the building we usually hold the SummerSchool in at QUT is being knocked down and due to delays the new building will not be ready until February. As soon as we have found a location we will be sure to update you with all the details. We are still hoping the program will go ahead. 15/05/2014 – YoungBlue Workshops at the Brisbane Powerhouse July 2015
DeepBlue are returning to the Powerhouse with their brand new show India Stories. Bursting with lush strings, bass beats and drama, we tell the tales of our time touring India two years ago. We are super excited to once again invite Brisbane’s young string musicians to join us as a part of YoungBlue!
School-aged string players have the chance to participate in DeepBlue’s fun and creative India Stories workshop, culminating in a unique performance opportunity with DeepBlue. Registrations are just $30 and include your ticket to the show.
25/09/14 – The YoungBlue SummerSchool Returns to Brisbane for Two Weeks in 2015! Exciting news – this coming January we will be running TWO SummerSchool programs, both held at QUT Kelvin Grove. The first will run from 5 – 9 January for musicians aged 12 – 18, or in High School (grades 7 – 12) in 2015. The second SummerSchool will be held from 12th – 16th January for musicians aged 8 – 12, or in Primary School (grades 3 – 6). We’ve got a new bunch of tunes and ideas and can’t wait to work with all you young creative musos.

25/07/14 – We’re excited to announce that we’ll be visiting Ironside State School on Friday 8th August! DeepBlue will be running YoungBlue workshops with students at the school, followed by a performance that evening at Indooroopilly State High School where they’ll get to strut their stuff on stage alongside DeepBlue. Ironside students can register here and anyone can come along to the show buy purchasing tickets here.
09/04/13 The Sunshine Coast Winter Workshops will be held during the school holidays, from Thursday 10 until Saturday 12 July. DeepBlue will work with young local musicians to design and produce a performance experience for DeepBlue’s Who Are You show at Nambour Civic Centre on the 12th July!
26/12/13 – DeepBlue head to Woodfordia! The YoungBlue team are cruising up to Woodford Folk Festival tonight along with the rest of DeepBlue until 3rd Janary. We’re performing on Friday, Saturday and New Year’s Eve – come and say hello if you’re there!

09/12/13 – YoungBlue SummerSchool – Nearly Full!The registrations have been coming in thick and fast – thank you! We can’t wait to see you all in January for a huge week of music, creativity, and all things in between. The SummerSchool would be impossible to run if it wasn’t for the help of our partners; Queensland University of Technology, Queensland Academy for Creative Industries, Animato Strings, Sally Thibault and the Australian Society for Performing Arts Healthcare. 11/10/13 – YoungBlue SummerSchool Returns to Brisbane Get ready Brisbane – the YoungBlue team are gearing up for another creative learning adventure this summer! Members of DeepBlue, cool industry experts and innovative gurus will be joining together for the annual YoungBlue SummerSchool this January in ol’ Brisbane town.
More details will be available very very soon – keep checking this site and DeepBlue’s Facebook page. For now, we are pretty chuffed to let you know that this year’s program will feature all-new repertoire for our YoungBlue musicians to craft and produce their show, using all the elements of DeepBlue’s approach to music and performance.
